  1. Just called James - following other recommendations on EDF - with an issue regarding a loss of power and a blown circuit breaker. He talked me through possible solutions on how to reset the system. We now have power and the source of the problem identified. When I texted him to let him know he immediately replied with further things to check. This on a bank holiday! His number now saved as first responder to future problems and will be getting a call regarding further work.
  2. Can add my recommendations to all the others on this thread. Aria and Dan were extremely quick to respond to our call regarding a leak under the sink. With us within an hour. A good quality of work, extremely reasonable rates, very professional and gave very useful advice on some other issues they identified without ever pressurising us to have extra work done. Polite and personable - and they have other useful contacts. We would definitely use them again and highly recommend them!
  3. Having read this (theduke...) and other messages about the development of the ground and considered these alongside those from the club about the contributions that football club are making to the community I am minded to think that John Stuart Mill was probably on the right lines when he proposed the greatest benefit to the greatest number as a good starting point for a moral argument. The loss of - I can't be bothered to work out the actual surface area - of a piece of urban land that isn't much used, against the human good that the football club seems to achieving - both in local terms - look at the number of local projects supported or initiated by the club - and globally - with the refugee work that is being done - well, it's a small amount of land against a huge amount of good.
