  1. The community midwifery services currently based at Dulwich Community Hospital will be moving to a new home later this year. The new location, on Blanchedowne, just off Denmark Hill and a short distance from King?s College Hospital will be solely dedicated to maternity services. The building will serve as the base for parent education classes and pregnancy groups in addition to new clinics that King?s have not previously had the space to offer.

King?s are really excited about this new building and would like to seek your help to name it. They would like the name to represent maternity history at King?s Denmark Hill or midwifery history as a whole.

Do you have a name suggestion? Please share here or email to [email protected] by 5pm today!

  2. Did you give birth at King's in the last couple of years? Would you like to help influence maternity policy at the hospital? Come and join other service users, clinicians and funders to work together to improve maternity care in your local hospital! Please RSVP to: [email protected] and confirm if you would like to use the free creche facility during the meeting. You are also welcome to keep your baby with you during the meeting if you prefer.

Location: 4th floor, Golden Jubilee Wing, King's College Hospital

    Date and time: 19th September 2019 10-12

  3. King?s Maternity Voices Partnership are holding a community meeting in Camberwell this Thursday morning. If you have used King?s maternity services in the last couple of years and would like to work collaboratively with clinicians and other service users on issues such as continuity of care and breastfeeding support, please come and join us. Please RSVP today (Tuesday) to [email protected] if you would need to use the free Creche facility.

    Many thanks,

    Gemma & Michele (King?s MVP Co-chairs)

  4. Hi all,

We are moving back to Dulwich after 5 years in NYC. I would like to get some insight into the different primary schools in East Dulwich and also North Dulwich / Dulwich Village: which ones do you love and why? What are the main differentiators? Are any strong on foreign languages like French or Mandarin? Are some of the schools rated 'Good' actually better than the 'Outstanding' ones? Would love to hear your thoughts!

    Thanks!
