  1. Hi Peckham_Ryu, no I am not looking for permission to walk away as that is a decision that I, and I alone have to make but relationships need a number of key elements to thrive, stay strong and last the duration. Good communication, intimacy, not meaning sex, and making time for each other are 3 of the key elements, in my opinion, a relationship needs to thrive.
  2. No, this is not a wind up.

Thanks Saffron for your input, much appreciated

This has actually brought a smile to my face - the songs made me laugh.

@Sue, please warm up don't be so cold it's cold enough outside!

  3. I have been in a relationship with my partner for the last 10 years, she's a beautiful and wonderful person. We have a daughter who attends one of the local independent schools. For the past 4 (ish) years my partner has not expressed much interest in sex. I have tried to initiated sex but get turned away. I have tried to talk to my partner to let her know how important sex is to me as without a meaningful sex life then the relationship is just a friendship.

Another problem, issues never seemed to get resolved they just simmer in the background.

We have tried counseling however things have not improved.

Is it time to walk away?

Walking away will mean much upheaval like taking our daughter out of school and selling the house.

    Any advice appreciated.
