We are looking for some help in July with moving 6 or 7 pieces furniture (mainly fairly small items but inc a large chest of drawers) to an address in north London and then a local move of smaller items including mattresses, some boxes and small appliances. We urgently need a man with a van to take the contents of a large shed to a storage unit, both in Herne Hill, maybe as soon as this Friday. It will mainly involve loading the van from the drive and then taking into the storage unit at the other end. Is anyone available to help?

Another recommendation for Maurice. He arrived promptly, quickly identified the issue (which I thought could take some time) and did a great job fixing it. Will definitely use again.

Dave recently fixed our shower and did a great job. I was particularly impressed as it was a tricky job and several other plumbers (including some highly recommended on EDF) had refused to deal. I would certainly use him again and would recommend.

We have a long standing problem with our shower which, from previous plumbing advice, is likely to be related to the thermostatic cartridge needing to be replaced. I am happy to source the replacement myself but need some help removing it and then later replacing it. Can anyone assist with this? Your help would be much appreciated. We are based in Herne Hill.

We are looking for some temporary help with lawn mowing as our own mower is broken and is going to take some time to be repaired. Own mower essential. Happy to pay a premium as is not a huge job (although lawn is a fair size) and appreciate will be travel time involved. We are based in Herne Hill.

Patryk has just done a fantastic job for us on a new patio, a block work path outside our shed and some fencing. As with others who have posted here, when we saw the care and professionalism with which he approached his work we also asked him to do some significant repair work on our drive which now looks like new and also some work clearing the back of our garden. He is clearly very experienced in what he does giving thoughtful advice about drainage for the patio etc. but still took a great deal of care over the laying of the stones so that the finish is excellent. He and his team are very tidy and pleasant to have around - even helping carry bags from the car when the driveway was out of use! We thought he offered good value and would highly recommend.

Steve has just done a great job cleaning the carpets, rugs and some furniture in our house. We have used him before and have always been pleased with the results. Would definitely recommend.

Just had Jon at Peckham Handyman round to do a few tricky jobs - fixing door handles, fixing a drawer and putting together some flatpack furniture. Jon was professional, efficient and I am very pleased with the work done. Would definitely use again. [email protected]

Aston did a very professional job fitting a wooden gate that we use as a stair gate at the top of our stairs which are unusually wide and therefore required a home made post etc. He also did a great job fitting parts of our kitchen which were falling apart. He clearly showed his carpentry training. He also did a couple of other smaller jobs. I would highly recommend and would definitely use again.

We are looking for someone to assist with the repair of our patio which desperately needs cleaning up and "grouting". We also need some help with some new fencing.
