Hi EDF,
I'm an ED native and full-time yoga teacher working around South London and in the city. As well as my public classes I teach in schools (children, teens and teachers), corporations (such as Skygarden), and privately (adults and families). I have a couple of slots for new clients coming up so if you would like to try yoga in your own home, or you work in a school/business and would like to talk about setting up a class, please get in touch. I teach an alignment-based Hatha/Vinyasa blend and weave in simple, effective meditation techniques which I have learnt through years of Mindfulness practice & training. I also work with Ourmala, a charity which teaches trauma-informed yoga to refugees and asylum seekers, and am a huge advocate for the (scientifically proven) therapeutic benefits of the practice.
If you'd like a bit of a sense of who I am: https://www.instagram.com/anna.paulina.yoga/
Please feel free to contact me with any questions: [email protected]

Dear EDF,
I am a local yoga teacher with some availability for private sessions. Experience yoga/meditation sessions in your home with sequences tailored to your ability and individual needs. I practice and teach an alignment based Hatha / Vinyasa style.
I am also qualified to teach children, teens and families and teach in a number of schools. In my teen classes at the moment we are especially looking at ways to manage stress in the lead-up to exams.
Whether you are new to yoga, or just think you could benefit from some close attention to develop your practice, then a one-to-one could be just what you need.
Please contact me via the forum, on 07739545433 or at [email protected]

It's a little further afield but I take a monthly family yoga workshop at Eve and Grace studio in Battersea. It's mostly mums and daughters and the children usually are aged around 7-11. There's one happening this Sunday at 1pm. http://www.eveandgrace.co.uk/book-classes/

I?ve had a lot of expressions of interest from parents who?d like me to put on yoga & mindfulness workshops/ classes for children and families in ED and am currently on the hunt for suitable venues in the area. I run all my classes in SW but live next to ED stn and I?d love to run some sessions in my area.
If you own a space or have any suggestions you?d like to share, I?d love to hear from you. Capacity minimum 8pax.
Cheers,
Anna

Another advocate of yoga/meditation... also a sunlight box lamp has really helped me during the winter months in the past.

Student testimonial: ?Classes with Anna have completely transformed my yoga practice. Anna?s expertise and careful observation have allowed me to alter poses that I had taken for granted in the previous five years of my yoga practise to get the most out of my practice. Most remarkably, I came to Anna with a fear of inversions (especially headstands) and left our first class able to practice headstands against a wall. Her evident knowledge and understanding of bodies as well as her attentiveness in class gave me the confidence to overcome this fear, and I now incorporate headstand practice in my usual yoga practice.
In small group classes, Anna is able to work with a variety of abilities at once, giving a nuanced set of poses to each individual to ensure an exciting and beneficial practice for all participants. I would absolutely recommend Anna as a yoga teacher!

Hi lovely EDFers. I?ve been lucky to meet a lot of great people through the forum over the years because of my work with children, and I?d like to share my new venture with you.
Private yoga/meditation sessions in your home, all equipment provided, sequence tailored to your needs, alignment focus.
Whether you are new to yoga, want to take your practice up a level, need to stay at home, or just think you could benefit from some close attention, then a one-to-one could be just what you need.
?10 for your first class. All you need to provide is enough space for a mat.
About me:
I qualified as a Hatha yoga teacher in India, and took additional training in children and family yoga. I also have a longstanding mindfulness meditation practice and training which I would be more than happy to share. Since returning to London I?ve set up children?s and family classes which I run at a couple of schools and community spaces. I?m already teaching privately and would love to build up my adult client base around ED.
Send me a PM or give me a call on 07739545433 if you would like to know more!

Parents- I am wondering whether I could float an idea to you guys and get an idea of interest? I'm thinking of starting a meet up/ language skills group for au pairs in the area. I'm 24, SE Ldn native and newly qualified TEFL teacher. I have worked as a nanny abroad too, and I know it can be quite an isolating experience. I suppose the group would be an exchange of sorts; I'd gain teaching experience, attendants would improve their English and get the insider track on the area for 20 somethings? And we'd all make friends of course!
Any thoughts welcome!

Thanks both! I did look at City Lit actually, will investigate both further!

Hi,
I'm looking for a drawing short-course/taster-course for a birthday present for my dad, who has always wanted to learn how to draw/sketch. Dulwich picture gallery out of price range unfortunately.
Does anybody have any recommendations? Budget up to ?100, say.
Thanks!

Hello, I have just taken on the marketing for a preschool group at which I'm working. Current website needs a lot of work (ideally a complete redesign). I have a lot of ideas about how I'd like it to look / work, but need somebody in the know to actually do all the programming for me.
As far as I understand, the school's current web contract runs out in April and they won't be renewing it.
Ideally we'll built a long term relationship with the right person: the website will need regular updating and it would be good to find someone happy to communicate with myself and the business owners on a regular basis.
If you might interested PM or email [email protected].

Totally unacceptable! Manager must investigate. I work in nurseries and could not imagine a staff member in the environment dragging a child across the floor like that, regardless of floor surface/context. Dragging a child on his/her belly is never necessary or OK, it's literally manhandling!

Yet another recommendation for Kuki. I've had hair cut by Shingo and a nice woman (Amy?) and have been very happy w/ service and result every time. Really reasonable too. Much better than the other places round here - I remember having horrible experiences as a teenager similar to the one described by OP in GMs, Headnizm and Willis B. Kuki for the win!
-
ooh I'd quite like to try it out! Was a choral scholar at my college (alto) and studied music.
-
brilliant thanks will check it out!
-
Just wondering if there are any guided mindfulness groups practising in the local area. I've done a few courses already so it wouldn't have to be a beginner's one.
Do let me know; since moving back to London I've really missed going to group sessions!
Thanks
Anna
