  1. @Charlotte KSB Hi there, afraid I don't have one to sell, but you should check out the Facebook groups "The original buggy runners//active with kids" and "Running with buggies" - as lots of information and opportunities to buy/sell on those.

We got two running buggies off those groups and have been very pleased with them.

  2. We lived there for 5 years and mostly loved it. Great location, very handy for trains/shops. Cheaper prices than period property ED.

The only downsides for us were some of the street muggings as mentioned above, but these sadly happen all over East Dulwich (especially around Lordship Lane/the station) so I don't think it's anything unique to St Francis Road.

I just wouldn't have my phone out walking around most parts of London anyway.

  3. We've seen a big increase in muggings on Greendale and the surrounding roads. I stopped feeling safe walking through there with my children and would never walk through there holding my phone. A real shame as it is a good cut through. Even in the middle of the day I have witnessed teenagers and young people circling wearing balaclavas looking for unsuspecting victims. We have seen a real rise in antisocial behaviour around there since the pandemic.

  4. Just saw a bunch of teenagers throwing fireworks at each other just opposite the play park! Frightened the life out of me as I first thought it was gun fire. No regards for families close by and really scared my daughter

This has been reported to the police but wasn’t sure if anyone else had seen this

We also saw them throwing fireworks on St Francis Road and reported it to the police. It appears to be the same teenagers who are riding Boris and Lime bikes and wearing balaclavas/face masks.

  5. This morning around 9:15am I saw a woman with short hair walking two westie type dogs in the fenced off section of Peckham Rye, where it states on the gates that no dogs are allowed.

I politely asked her if she knew that the area was a "no dog zone", thinking she might somehow have missed all the signs on the gates, to which she replied "I'm aware".

I tried to ask her why she was walking her dogs in the fenced off area when she had the rest of the park to enjoy, but she became verbally aggressive towards me, including taunting me about being pregnant and going into early labour, which was completely unnecessary and upsetting.

She also claimed that she could prevent her dogs toileting in that area, which I don't believe is possible.

I am a dog lover myself, but purposefully take my young toddler to that fenced off "no dog" area so that they can run around holding snacks/balls etc without coming into contact with dogs. I also want to avoid dog mess in that area.

I am reporting to the park warden and am posting in the hope no one else experiences the same, or if they do to inform you that you can also report it to the park office.

  6. Hi Salvi,

I am not actually Spanish, but I teach French and Spanish in a secondary school in Chelsea (but we live in Dulwich). I'm about to go on maternity leave to have my first baby and would love to meet up with Spanish mums to keep practising Spanish.

I will send you a pm to explain further and hope more Spanish mums reply to your post!
