  1. I noticed 4 trees removed on the 10 minute walk from my house to ED station a couple months ago. 1 due to insurance, the others for "weak fork" or "imbalanced". The notices all state that a replacement tree will be planted nearby asap. Does anyone know if this is actually done in practice? I recall a couple trees removed from LL a year ago and it doesn't seem that they were ever replaced.
  2. Needed to replaster a 3x4x3 room, 3x3x3 room, and 4m hallway. Looking for plasterboard on the celinging, insulating plasterboard on external facing walls in each bedroom, and either plaster or plasterboard on the remaining internal walls.

    Thanks.

  3. Hi,

I'm taking on a renovation project. I was wondering if there are any people/companies that offer some consultancy services? I'm thinking someone to come in for a few hours, review the house and project plans, and provide advice on things such as the order to have builders do various works, whether problems should be fixed now or can are not urgent, and maybe the best way to tackle some projects.

I know builders will provide some advice, but they would be bias as they are trying to sell their services. I'm looking for someone to provide impartial advice. I am not looking for a project manager to take ownership of the works. Not sure if such a thing exists?

Appreciate if anyone knows of such services. Thanks.

  4. There was a main leaking on Fenwick road the start of the year as well. After a few days there were notices on the cars from Thames water, so they were aware of the problem, and still took another 10 days to fix. Agree with OP that it's crazy that such a leak could be allowed to go on for so long. I imagine that in addition to the wasted water its probably caused erosion under the road surface that will need to be repaired at some point.
