I have an issue with smells from the downstairs flat coming into my property. I could do with a handy person who could help me locate and block any holes or gaps in flooring / around pipework etc. ta

I have known Colin for years and he has carried out many jobs for me, including painting, to a professional standard. Colin is friendly, reliable and trustworthy and is always the first person I contact when I need work completing.

Police investigation apparently after an incident at 5am. No other details as yet.

We have a large tree in next door's back garden that needs cutting back on our side. A very tall ladder and a chainsaw required!

I've only managed to get any post by popping down to the Peckham Delivery office a couple of times and asking if they'd check for me. They are apparently understaffed with a lot of people off with Covid. The focus seems to be on parcel and Covid test kit deliveries.

I remember many years ago when Rye Lane was closed due to works by a utility company (seems to happen frequently, but that's another story!), there was a temporary bus stop placed on Copeland Rd. This was ideal to get to the station. However, I understand that as there is now a zebra crossing located near that junction placing a bus stop there is no longer possible.

Yes, I now think it is time to reopen Rye Lane to buses, although they need to continue to limit the times delivery vans are allowed to use the street.

A man turned up at my property this morning and claimed I had called him to do some works to the roof. This was not the case, so I politely told him it must be a mistake and asked him to leave. However, he then proceeded to put his ladders up against my property in order to inspect my roof!

Only when I threatened to call the police did he finally drive off in his hire van! The other worrying thing was that he was drinking lager and appeared half cut, so would surely be over the driving limit.

I have notified the local police. Be warned as could be a scam.

I have a couple of small jobs that need doing:

1. replace some beading by front door (damp issue); 2. fill crack and make good.

Yes I thought the service was returning to normal, but this week I've only received two letters and both of which were dated 2-3 weeks ago!
