Sainsburys in Forest Hill has a large bin for recycling soft plastics. I have used it several times.

Has anyone complained to Royal Mail for non-deliveries of parcels and if so, what has been their response?

I received electronic proof of delivery from Royal Mail which says a parcel was delivered to me at 13:54 today and apparently I signed for it?. However it was not delivered. I was at home all day and had a supermarket delivery and an Amazon delivery - both on time and without any trouble.

Thank you for telling me what I should be doing. It?s always good to be told what to do by others. Actually, I have no choice but to buy food products with plastic films etc, and I am trying my very best do the right thing for the environment. From what you say, as so little is recycled there is no point in me making any effort and I am therefore tempted just to throw the whole lot away along with general refuse. Fortunately, I am a conscientious person and would not do that when I know facilities exist. If anyone can tell me whether Sainsburys have a soft-plastics recycling bin, I would greatly appreciate it. The reason for asking is because the recycling bin in the coop is quite small and I now have quite a large amount to recycle.

Just wondering whether anyone can confirm that there is this facility at Sainsburys on Dog Kennel Hill and how big the recycling bin (for soft-plastics) actually is?

Just why do people do this? The bin wasn't full and even though the fish was still in its packaging it smelled really bad. I've reported it to Southwark Council but it will probably be a few days before it gets removed...

If you know who is doing this, please report it to the council. They have special investigation teams (as seen on tv documentaries) and will peruse the person involved as it is a crime to fly tip.

I noticed this too and have reported it. There must be a huge amount of pressure beneath the road to lift the bitumen surface and water is coming out of the gaps. I am preparing myself for a possible burst mains pipe?

I received a notification from Thames Water explaining that the water supply would be switched off for a short time last night between 23:00 and 02:00 - this being to upgrade the water pipes on Overhill road. Pressure was low initially early this morning but was after letting the water run for 20 seconds, it was back to normal pressure.

I would hardly call the few North Cross road stalls a market? It?s very disappointing.

I used the 197 bus the other day and it was absolutely fine. I chose to use the bus because it was one of the options suggested by googlemsps.
