You might find it useful to look at what other people have got planning permission for in your area/your street, not always comparable of course, but it might give you a hint. You can search for planning applications by street name at Lewisham's webpage: http://planning.lewisham.gov.uk/online-applications/

Did you get any respond to this posting? Just what I am after for my soon 4 year old daughter... Recommendations anyone? -
We're planning a daytrip out of London on bankholiday Monday. Any suggestions where to go? We will have two three year olds and a baby with us, so somewhere child friendly but enjoyable for the adults too. We often go to Brighton and have been down to Rye - other suggestions..? Ideally it should be within an hour or two with train from ED. And it would be lovely to escape the buzz of London for a day... Forest, sea or country pub maybe? Any recommendations?

Our 2 year old daughter is vegetarian and we eat a lot of vegan food at home (as my partner is vegan). We found this book very useful when starting weaning: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Feeding-Your-Vegan-Infant-Confidence/dp/0907337295 It has meal ideas for the different weaning stages and all you need to know about nutrional requirements and how these can be met with a non-dairy diet. We used a lot of nut spreads, tahini, lentils and tofu... Stina

Could anyone recommend a good postnatal/baby yoga class in the East Dulwich or Forest Hill area? I have been looking around a bit and none of the classes that were around when I had my daughter two years ago are still on...

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I've just been on the phone to the birth centre (and spoken to two extremely helpful women) and will make a visit to see for myself.

We are expecting our 2nd in a couple of months and I am interested in finding out more about the new(ish) Lewisham Birth Centre which wasn't around when we had our daughter. Does anyone have experience from giving birth there? Thanks in advance

Which is the best GP surgery in ED to be with when pregnant?
stina replied to james84's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Another vote for Oakwood midwifes at Forest Hill Road - they are fantastic. Tend to get oversubscribed through so make sure to get your referral early. Didn't have such good experience with the baby clinic at the surgery - long waiting time and unhelpful(or possible over worked) health visitors - so I ended up going elsewhere for weighting and checking of our daughter. -
sorry for not replying sooner - I haven't checked the forum for a while... Two of us have met up a couple of times and if more are interested we should definetly fix a date to meet up. Now that the weather is better maybe we could meet in the park during the weekend? How about Sat or Sun the weekend after next (i.e. 1st or 2nd of May? Stina
