Pete and Chalky! We’ve kept in touch with them. Fear not, they moved to live near his daughter (I’d have to check his address but I think it was Lincolnshire). Chalky apparently very happy as he has a large cat-free garden to play in.

Hello all, We're looking for a kind and caring nanny for our son, who will be 10 months, on Wednesdays and Thursdays (probably 8am- 6pm) from September - flexible on start date for the right person. We're based in East Dulwich and also have another boy who is nearly 3. He is full time at nursery, so the role would likely include picking him up from Little Jungle on Amott Road at around 5ish. References and experience of babies from previous nannying. We'd also love someone who was open to doing the occasional bedtime and babysitting. We previously did a share so happy to discuss that with any other local families. DM me if this might be of interest. Many thanks, Bex

It used to be in a more easily identifiable section, no? Or did I imagine that? Thank you!

Did you use a sleep coach that you recommend?
CrunchB replied to cantthinkofaname's topic in The Family Room Discussion
We used Iva from Sleepy Little Angels. She came highly recommended and was absolutely brilliant. I couldn?t handle any of the hardcore method. We did an adapted Ferber method starting at 2 mins, 2 mins, 4 mins, 4 mins etc. Also did it at 9 months because I had no way to put him back to sleep when he woke at night without breastfeeding, which he didn?t need as he was on 3 meals a day. It took 2 nights and he cried less in total across those two nights than he did the night I made the sleep training decision (after I tried to cuddle him and calm him back to sleep but not feed him). She very much tailors the method to whatever you?re comfortable with. We will definitely use her again with our second baby. One thing I would strongly recommend is not to use any of the remote consultation services. From our experience you need someone in the house with you, holding your hand and guiding you through it when it?s 3am. The remote arrives cost about ?250 for a telephone call. I think we paid ?650 for two nights of having Iva stay with us and guide us through exactly what to do and when to go in etc. -
Scarletbanks is right on the money with their list but Kartuli on Lordship Lane is incredible. Also Heritage in West Dulwich is a new fave

Wow!! I can?t get the video to play but even without it that must have been an incredible watch. I had no idea there were any around here.

Did anyone come back to you with any information on this? I?d be very interested to know what the issues were as we?re on the waiting list for a place.

You don?t happen to live on Whateley Road, do you? We?ve noticed a very barky dog lately. It?s going very loudly now at 11pm and the owners don?t seem to be bringing it in despite the constant howling and barking. Between the dog and the man who screams all nights at his cats Zippy and Angel, it?s a very noisy set of gardens!

New Georgian restaurant and takeaway on Lordship Lane
CrunchB replied to Jocky's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
We had lunch from there today and it was delicious! Cheese bread and mixed starters - bloody hell so flavoursome. Will definitely go back for dinner takeaway. The couple running it were so friendly too. -
Yes, I'm getting constant call failed and finding it really difficult to make outgoing calls. Was previously on Vodaphone and that was no better, sadly.

Thank you Sunshine_Sunshine, EastdulwichNewbie and B&G. This is really helpful to know. Especially good about the Uppababy Cruz as it tops Which's list of best buggys out there.
