Yes! Cheeky buggers. The most ludicrous example I have of this was when I was having a meal with my girlfriend and one of them, clad in a huge jacket and crash helmet, saw fit to actually join us in the booth we were eating in! Honest Burger in Peckham, if your interested.

I'd classify quite a lot of these app based delivery chaps dodgy and undesirable. They lurk in packs on the streets loudly talking and smoking drugs (I know what weed smells like) then think it's ok to join the traffic to deliver food- which they have complete contempt for as it always turns up cold.

I'm afraid it appears that the craze is here to stay, but the riders should certainly not loiter in the streets intimidating passersby. Equally, do not let them hang around in the restaurant when you are trying to have a meal either!

It could have been a dopey shelf stacker who slashed the packs when they opened the box, but were too afraid to tell the supervisor

Mate, are you suggesting that India is more hygienic than the U.K? Because if so, you are the ignorant one.

As someone who has been to India, believe you me, they clearly do not wash their hands properly, as quite often after eating out, you'll experience terrible ring of fire and awful diarrhoea. Not so much after a fat curry in the U.K.

If you go into the curry places of Tooting, you'll notice that they have small buckets beside the toilet with water in. So guess what, the Indian dude who is making your curry has just washed his arse with his own hand and is highly unlikely to have washed it properly afterwards. Food for thought.

I'm going to be stealing bog roll from work and, if working from home, the pubs of Lordship Lane. So if you have a dump in the EDT and realise when it's time to wipe your arse there's no more bog roll, then that was my doing- sorry!

So I've been told to work from home for the foreseeable due to this corona thing. I'm quite pleased with this as I can sleep more and get away with doing less work, but need some tips on places in the area to work from when I get cabin fever. Ideally looking for somewhere that:

Does not have groups of middle aged 'ladies wot lunch', whiling away their lunchtimes spending their wealthy banker husbands money, discussing their next imminent fancy holiday.

Does not have lots of toddlers, prams or buggies clogging up the whole place. Ditto children making noise.

Has cheap yet fairly decent coffee. Bottomless top ups a bonus.

Friendly staff I can chat to that are easy on the eye and can hold a conversation, for when I get bored of my work

Can offer booze as well, for a mid afternoon tipple.

Any tips much appreciated.

I doubt the police are going to give a damn about someone picking them, whatever legislation is in place.

I often pick and take a few daffodils when I can, as it saves a few quid compared to buying them. Anyone who has a problem with this can jog on- no one owns plants that grow freely and you can do as you wish, including taking them.

Risible comment. Try having to shop in Lidl Peckham, where it feels like the last plane out of Saigon and the queues wrap around the shop because people are too thick to use the self service tills. M&S Lordship lane is a true cornucopia in comparison.

I find it quite appalling that the staff went on strike at the Ivy House over pay and conditions. I'll wager that they were already being paid a decent barstaff wage with it being community owned, rather than a ruthless pubco like Young's. I'd have dismissed them all on the spot.

Just because it was busy on a Sunday, stuffed full of buggies, prams and toddlers called 'Willow' and 'Oscar' being taken out by their parents for a Sunday roast, doesn't mean it was busy enough the rest of the time to justify its existence. If it was making good money it would still be a pub today.

A friend spotted David Cameron at the fish counter recently, apparently with a personal minder in tow.

Whilst it's better than nothing, it's a shame that an expensive craft beer bar is open opposite a big old traditional pub that has closed down because not enough people were using it. I suppose it's a sign of the times, but wouldn't it be awful if places like this were the only place to get a beer!

I think the best course of action here would be to make a formal complaint to the council and force them to take action. They have plenty of lolly sloshing around in their coffers at present, so they can easily rip out the new lamps and replace them with something a bit more to your atmospheric pleasing.

So this man assualted a lady and an elderly man in a park in broad daylight? surely the police are called and are there immediately to apprehend this violent, dangerous criminal?
