  2. It’s become very annoying that people feel it is perfectly fine to leave their trash bins on the pavement which people use to , you know, walk around and generally exercise their right to use public space.

Do you leave your bins on the pavement ? Why ? Put them back on your property. It is smelly and very selfish of you. You do not own public footpaths.

Do your neighbours leave their bins the pavement ? Why ? Report them to Southwark and have their bins removed as nuisances on public footpaths : https://www.southwark.gov.uk/bins-and-recycling/abandoned-bins.

I agree with you and I report it!! It's annoying to try and manoeuvre a pram around these pavement blocks.

If someone is so physically unable they can't move an empty wheelie bin in, then really they should have carer or someone similar to help them.

What about the disabled and prams trying to get past these pavement blocks that are forced into the road?

Sometimes the bins are just left out till the next collection. The worst is the top of NORTHCROSS ROAD outside Emily's Place.

There's the bin on one side of the pavement and a tree on the other and everyone has to squeeze through the middle.

  3. I think "you smell" is less offensive.

Women with babies can be abusive as well

There was a little more too it than that. It seems that the woman (he/she/them/they) had done something to the mother's baby.

he/she/them/they was challenged by the mother asking about her actions and H.S.T.T responded with 'you smell....have a bath...you look a tramp... The mother called H.S.T.T. called her an ugly ignorant b*tch....

    *source I saw it....

  4. Why the remark on ethnicity? That would normally imply a crime had been committed...

Rarely see trouble on LSL in any case.

I don't understand what the problem is saying they're both white??

Thanks for the insight into your mind, that describing someone's ethnicity means it's criminal. I also mentioned they're both women (we one seemed to be anyway)....

You must be tired of looking for woke problems.

  5. I had to laugh out loud at two woman arguing like teenagers in the street today. It happened at the bus stop outside the post office at approx 11.30am. It looks like a young woman with a baby had taken offense to another woman (both white) with camping gear. The woman with camping gear shouting 'you smell' to the woman with the pram and the woman with the pram shouting back 'ugly ignorant b**tch'. A little bit spicy for a Tuesday morning, anyone else seeing more and more irate people on Lordship Lane or is it just me?

Are the people of ED okay?

  6. This sounds a lot like Chris McK***** who thinks he's a window cleaner. My experience of him is that he talks a lot, is extremely sensitive (common to people suffering from low self worth and/or mental illness) and seems to be quite open about the abuse he has suffered. If he offers to do your windows, don't let him, he did a crap job. He seems harmless, but unpredictable.

Hahaha 😆 as if you let him clean your windows.

  7. This sounds like it could be the same man that followed me down Friern road on his bike, and then hit my car with a metal pole he was carrying (with my kids obviously in the back).

I reported to the police, they said they didn?t know him despite someone who lives on the road saying he was local. Please take care around him- it was quite scary.

There's a whole other thread on here about a man with a pole attacking a teenage boy. I think the boy's mum wrote it. Allegedly the man knocks on doors pretending to be a window cleaner.

There's A LOT of mentally ill people in ED.

  8. There's a tall beggar on Lordship Lane almost everyday. I walked out the dentist he's there, he walks up and down North Cross Road, I've even seen him outside the Tesco near Peckham Rye. I've seen him buying drugs at the cafe opposite marks. He seems harmless enough but the begging is persistant 'psst psst sis sis or uncle uncle' or taking a seat next to at the bus stop.

Does he bother anyone else? I just feel he's getting more and more pushy and makes me want to avoid the area.

  9. Had to check as I thought I might have been that lady.... Chadwick Road is in Peckham... go on Peckham's forum and tell their community

    The updated code clarifies that:

when people are crossing or waiting to cross at a junction, other traffic should give way

if people have started crossing and traffic wants to turn into the road, the people crossing have priority and the traffic should give way

people driving, riding a motorcycle or cycling must give way to people on a zebra crossing and people walking and cycling on a parallel crossing

A parallel crossing is similar to a zebra crossing, but includes a cycle route alongside the black and white stripes.
