  1. Went to have a look last night and agree with everything Dulwich Park Fairy said really. They are obviously trying hard to change the image of the place and it's nice inside and out (and they've made an effort for the smokers which I'msure will be appreciated!) But it looks like the old clientele haven't got the message and are still hanging around being lairy. We saw one guy being kicked out after he came in from the garden fag in hand and made a fuss when they told him it was non-smoking (as if he didn't know!) I think they need a couple of big burly bouncers to hang around for a few weeks and hopefully they would see these unsavour types off once and for all. Not sure about the staff. They seemed a bit rabbit in headlights although that could be first night jitters I suppose. The old man wonders if some staff might have been retained as he heard one of them ask one of the punters 'where are you facking going?! at the top of her voice. Anyway, I think this could be a good pub IF they manage to get rid of the undesirables. I wish them luck!
  2. I am Old too so don't tend to go to Liquorish when the young things come out to party. I've always found the staff in there lovely though, especially one of the waiters who is unremittingly friendly and even remembers what tend to drink. They do a damn fine veggie burger as well.
  3. What a relief ginger. I know how worrying it can be having lost our recently amputated cat a couple of years ago. He turned up after 3 days. I think he needed some time to consider his newly disabled status. I hope Tuna has been found. Her missing posters are still up and are quite a work of art.
  4. Thanks Sean. My husband frequents the lovely Thai ladies as well and I don't think he's ever been asked if he requires any 'extras'. Not that he'd tell me I suppose!
  5. The Singhara (beauty place) is great. I go there regularly for Thai massage and highly reccommend it. It does look a bit like a dodgy sauna from the outside but is completely kosher and you can always get an appointment on the same day (in the week anyway).
  6. Yes, the CPT staff are ace as well, bless their little Aussie hearts.
  7. Cheers anyone? I do love those boys.
  8. Gah. Not happy with the CPR/Underhill Road flat development as it overlooks our garden and is much taller than we expected and the windows will overlook our garden. I wouldn't have thought they'd be allowed to build anything taller than the surrounding terraces but it seems this is not the case. Anyone know how many units there will be?
  9. I HEART the Cheers boys, absolutely lovely. And they have a (seldon seen) resident cat.
  10. Corianda gets my vote too. We've been having building work done and haven't had a kitchen for a while so have been forced (!) to eat take outs quite a lot. Bit embarrassing really as Corianda know us quite well by now and recognise my voice on the phone. We have to give them an update each week on how our kitchen is coming along! Special mention for their dhal which is the ultimate comfort food.
