Abbeyfield Dulwich is a charitable, volunteer-led organisation which owns and operates a home in Herne Hill, offering supported accommodation and communal dining to 7 elderly residents. It is affiliated to The Abbeyfield Society, a nationwide charity whose aim is to alleviate loneliness in the elderly.
We are looking to employ a House Manager to work up to a maximum of 25 hours a week.
Responsibilities of the House Manager will include:
? overseeing the day-to-day operation of the house
? line managing the housekeepers
? acting as a first port of call for the reporting of maintenance issues, and arranging for their repair
? attending to renewals (insurance, licences etc.)
? arranging and attending Trustee and House Committee meetings
? keeping handbooks, policies and residents? files up to date
? inducting new volunteers
The hours are flexible and may mostly be worked either from home, or from a dedicated office on-site. This is a rewarding position for someone who has organisational skills, is interested in working for a not-for-profit organisation, and enjoys the company of older people. Abbeyfield Dulwich offers a friendly working environment where you would be working alongside supportive House Committee members and volunteers.
The salary offered is ?17,500.00 per annum. A pension is provided.
