carolod
Managed to get this fixed very quickly & reasonably by a local handyman. All up & running now. Thanks for those replies. This is a very small job, I don't have the tools to do this so was wondering if someone can quote me.I just need someone to come out & make a hole in the side of a kitchen cupboard so I can fit a tumble dryer plug through. It's a sealed plug & invalidates the warranty if we take it off. There's a small hole in the cupboard from an existing cable that was threaded through, so it just needs making bigger. Can anyone help? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/100092-fixed-small-job-for-a-handyman/ Share on other sites
GrahamP
Hi Carolod,If there is room, why not make up a short extension lead? Feed cable through small hole then add a plug and inline socket either side.Graham Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/100092-fixed-small-job-for-a-handyman/#findComment-980087 Share on other sites
P.O.U.S.theWonderCat
I was always told it's dangerous to use extension cords for high consumption items like tumble dryers. Not reccomended with 3 - 4 way extention leads..http://cdn.toolstation.com/images/141020-UK/388/37079.jpgKeep the lead as short as possible.Lead would still need to be made up. as ready made would not resolve O.P.'s problemDulwichFox Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/100092-fixed-small-job-for-a-handyman/#findComment-980134 Share on other sites
