Learning to swim as an adult - help!

Hello!

Apologies if this is in the wrong section, wasn't really sure where to post this...

I was wondering if anyone knows of good adult swimming lessons, or possibly swimming teachers? At the tender age of 28 I think I should probably try to give learning to swim a try again! I know that East Dulwich Leisure Centre do classes but I'm a little bit shy about how awful I am in the water, so was just looking for any advice really!

I'd love to know too - it was one of my resolutions this year to finally learn to swim (and I'm a lot older than 28!)
