Recommended Posts

Are you a budding children?s entertainer with a passion for music? Our growing company requires more children?s party entertainers / DJs in Greater London to lead our exciting disco birthday parties every weekend! We are looking for professional, responsible people, preferably with experience working with children, who are willing to be silly and have fun at children's disco parties. You will be a music lover, playing great party tunes for children aged 3 ? 12. You will be confident with children and be able to lead and engage a group. During the party you will lead them in games and action songs to make their party the most special ever.

Most parties are weekends and can last from 2 hour to 3 hours, although some week day work is also available. This job will suit anyone who is studying or has other (family) commitments Monday ? Friday. We offer training and many opportunities to successful candidates, as well as promising a fun job that pays well.

We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic and presentable individuals. You must be punctual and reliable.

You should have your own reliable car and any existing DJ kit would be a massive bonus (a laptop is essential).

The Little Disco Company is an East Dulwich based company, providing disco entertainment and private party events across South London and beyond. For more information on what we do have a look at www.thelittlediscocompany.co.uk

    • Hello! We are relocating abroad and so will be withdrawing our two children (ages 4 and 6) from St Dunstan’s College (Catford). If any family is considering enrolling children of a similar age, now would be an excellent opportunity—we’re required to pay full‑term fees unless the places are taken. Please get in touch if you’re interested or know someone who might be. Thank you!

    • Thanks for your reply. I’ve subscribed to Ancestry a few times in the past but felt I wasn’t using it enough to warrant keeping up the subscription.
    • Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
