Marmora Man
Ukraine's Got TalentThis is rather long but quite amazing - a form of art that I have never seen before. This video shows the winner of 'Ukraines's Got Talent' with Kseniya Simonova, aged 24, drawing a series of pictures on a sand table linked to a projection system. The series of pictures, which is obviously scripted and rehearsed to synchronise with the background sound track, is intended to show how the ordinary people were affected by the German invasion during World War II. silverfox
Yes, it's been around for a while now but very impressive and quite moving.I've noticed these sand drawings have been appearing in adverts over the past months so it's caught the imagination Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/10118-ukraines-got-talent/#findComment-299547 Share on other sites
Huguenot
It is impressive and moving.I'm also concerned that this girl is quite young and should really be looking to the future rather than getting bogged down in the past. SteveT
I think you have to accept fame and fortune from any quarter. She is one of the fastest artists I have ever seen. There was an artist named (I think) Ralph Thompson who had a five minute in-fill between programmes (1950s) which we as kids watched glued to the screen, to see who would be the first to spot the picture. He would start off with a huge four inch brush and just dabbed seemingly randomly on to blank a canvas with the corner of his pasteing brush for four and threequarter minutes, and the last stroke made the picture complete and fall into place. It was better than most childrens progs today. SteveT
Tony Hart was a genius and would show you 'live' how to make something interesting, where as the blue peter staff had to have "one which I made earlier".
