I was wondering if anyone had seen a grey tabby cat in the silvester road area (no white She's 1 years old, spayed, wearing a silver collar and very much loved. She's been missing since yesterday and despite searching all around the local area we have seen no sign of her. If anyone has any information about her please email me, we miss her very much

Hi everyone, my cat is still missing, this is the only photo I have of her on her own (as we have 2 cats). Please can everyone look out for her in your gardens or shed? I've put flyers round about her and still sadly no news.

She's so loved and missed, any news would be greatly appreciated

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi everyone just to let you know my cat turned up at about 3.30am on Saturday morning. She must have got stuck in someone's house while they were on holiday as it was 2 weeks to the day since she's been missing!

Thank you to everyone who has kept an eye out for her

    • My mum (91 years young!) well remembers going to Austin's as a child, which she described as an 'Aladdin's Cave'!  She absolutely loved it - and is still a shopping fiend to this day (I 'blame' Austin's 😉). Going back up Peckham Rye, passing Austin's on your right hand-side, just past Phillips Walk (so not far from Austin's at all), I believe there was a British Relay Wireless shop - this would have been in the late 1930s/early 1940s.  Does anyone know anything about this? My grandad (my mum's dad) used to manage it; it was severely damaged in The Blitz - but I am having trouble locating it.  Mum's memory is dim (she was 6 at the time); she originally thought it was in Rye Lane, but we think now it was in Peckham Rye just up from Phillips Walk (originally Phillips Road).
    • Thanks everyone, this will need to be reported again as the fox was still mobile and walking down the road when last seen... hopefully someone will spot and report.
