Big Fish Little Fish Family Rave - 15th May

Recommended Posts

First of all a little toot of our trumpet - Big Fish Little Fish have just won the national Family Arts Festival audience choice award for 'Best Family Event' for the second year running - out of a pool of over 4000 events.

We will be back at Zanzibar on May 15th from 2pm until 4.30pm.

This month our guest DJ is Lol Hammond (Drum Club) - he's played for us before, in Hackney, and his choice of tunes was amazing. Great party music, really eclectic and fun. He used this great version of Satellite of Love for the parachute dance:

The fancy dress theme is Hawaiian Luau.

Captain Cookie runs our craft area - giant colouring mural, play-doh table and craft tables where the children can make something to wear on the dancefloor and take home.

We have a separate room for baby and toddler chill out - a designated area just for babies and crawlers with soft mats and beanbags and one for walkers with pop up tents and tunnels.

Licensed bar, home made cakes and savouries on sale, face painting stall and a buggy park (there are a few steps down to the buggy park but stewards will always be on hand to help).

Free glowstick for every child on arrival, free transfer tattoos, and free Happy Monkey Smoothies to take home.

The last two parties sold out well in advance so do make sure you get your tickets in time: https://billetto.co.uk/en/events/hawaiian-luau-with-dj-lol-hammond-drum-club-15th-may-zanzibar-sydenham-london

    • Another review for Iain and Paul who came again, this time to refurbish the back of my front door. A wonderful job, and such lovely people too!
    • To add, Ultimately the problems and remedial action go back to the landlord and the agents (Foxtons in this case) have to refer everything back to the landlord and get the landlord's consent to act, including instructing trades to undertake repairs. The landlord may be the underlying problem. Suggest use the above links and escalate, including sending written notices to both the agents and landlord direct. The landlord details should be stated in the tenancy agreement. For complaints / faults, make sure you have a written record including follow up in writing / email on all calls.
    • Absolutely mental what Labour have become/are doing  because I’m me - I am going to say, it was the denial of reality that was the 2016 referendum, the genuflection of it ever since and the aggressive behaviour of the right wing press ever since that have cowed weak, spineless politicians  Until them at shibboleth is defeated, we can replace governments and leaders as much as we want - won’t make a tack of difference  we are in bizarro world since 2016 - only the electorate recognising that vocally will we see improvements  without that, every government, party and leader will be in hock to fantasists  (there are things govts can do regardless of Brexit. Of course there are. But the root - the root problem - will continue to infect)
