Richard doesn't live in Finchley as far as I know, and I've never contacted him via the brand name of those companies (nor has anyone else here mentioned them). Why have you posted this? Is there some reason we should be concerned about using him, or are you just airing dirty laundry?

Since my last post, I've had two people contact me to say that Richard had disappeared on them, one with money they had paid advance. After my conversation with Ejay, I would have to fully retract my recommendation for him now.

I would not recommend this guy he did some work for a friend, who had a young child, took their money didn't finish the job and won't answer their calls. Leaves people with unfinished work so they cannot decorate their home and make it properly safe! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

I would strongly recommend NOT using Richard. The exact same thing has happened to us as above message. He has half rewired our home, left it unsafe and ignored our phone calls and even cancelled some of them. We have been told by someone answering one call that he is not known at this number anymore. We have paid him a large sum of money as he said he had some personal issues that made it difficult for him so my husband kindly helped him with advanced payment which I now realise is naive. Sockets are hanging out of the walls, uncovered and dangerous. A job he quoted as taking 1 week dragged on for 3+. 3 weeks of complete stress dealing with a thoroughly unprofessional and unreasonable man. On most days he just never turned up despite promising he was on his way once we did get hold of him. We will be taking this matter further and I am left concerned that our home does not meet basic safety standards. We have been told by another professional electrician that we are likely to have to start from the beginning of the rewiring as no other professional would be happy to certify this work. This is in no way an attempt to ruin someone's reputation unfairly, I just feel strongly that others are not left in this terrible nightmare of a situation and this forum is a go to place for local people to receive honest and genuine advice about tradesmen and services.

Last time I spoke to him, he lived on a houseboat in St Katherine's dock with his partner. I would strongly advise contacting Ejay72 to see if he has a forwarding address for him then turn up and hold him to account.

Hi this has all been a plan to make me out to be a bad person I never left sockets off wall they was taken off by decorators when I wasn't there I've been on edf for quite some time and have always had good feedback I started working with ejay72 or elisa jay and was in a relationship but now not with her she has made me out to be bad person and told me she would along with using me for own needs and making my work life hell and family life difficult I can't tell you how much all this hurts to read and I love what I do but like she has always said she would my life hell and has done to meany men over time if I wasn't getting told I'm cheating with women calling for jobs I was trash because I was brought up on a council astate worst thing I ever did is letting ejay who has done meny recommendations for me to benefit her own needs but I'm away form her twisted games now and I'm in a better place now not being abused mentally and can be myself I couldn't get out of being with elisa down to threats on my wellbeing hope you take note and be more concederat about where this has gone to so quick right first time airing out dirty lawndrey she's a very selfish person and will carry on to hurt me because she can And will the next victim totally gutted she has this bitter way but I don't have to be round it no more 😥 Can't have me so trying to make me low and she has for along time sorry for how this has turned out and seems but not the case

These guys have the gift of the gab can smooth talk and have been recommended from a free website

Most of them have not even got their certificates to do the job and aren't covered by public liability nor have a company which they pay taxes

What do you expect

And the worst thing is that they don't care

find a reputable company pay the real price and get the job done old school

Not online freebie heaven

I think this is the mistake

All the offices and shops closed down and it's all out of someone's back shed or council estate and no one knows where anyone is anymore.

Maybe the answer is to only have registered companies being able to be recommended

Suzie your first payment was spent on materials when I arrived two days after dropping jobs because tight time line second payment was for labour mostly finished third payment was help because I had to make good round every socket down to poor finish and was for ?150 I even put new lights up when pendants where in place already at no extra cost out standing balence was around ?900 witch has not been invoiced for you know I was there meny nights till 1 at night to make sure you could move in

I'm not there to make sure other trades finish there work in a standard practice and you made me feel I should because not there when plastered I should of oversee finish as a tradesmen I have to go to other jobs and move them to a next stage you was quite happy at the time but now sockets left unfixed witch I did but someone undone to sand so am I doing a job once or 3 times it would extend any work time but you did move in and haven't paid outstanding money because you was trying to find fault not to pay hope you enjoy new lights short visits to a renovation doesn't go plane sailing for anyone I couldn't do enough for you but sockets left dangerous is abit extrem Sorry you feel this way

You didn't want to continue so there is no point being open

I have not aired out my dirty laundry ( like you )I have made sure my name the company name and the website is not being used to front or liable for anything else

It's not vindictive nasty abusive it's the facts it's closed down

Otherwise I'm over the moon you have decided to respond to some of the customers who have had difficulty getting you back to finish works which were delayed Bec of .......
