Ian ,you poor thing !

Is the flood in the flat you're leaving - if so can't you pass the problem on to someone else ?

Or am I misunderstanding ?

Rhetorical question ,don't reply - sure you have your hands full.

Sending you positive thoughts for no more problems and a sress free move .

yeah I guess its the landladies problem but I dont want to leave the house in a state and feel like a rubbish tennant, bloody water pooring through the wall from the front path dont know if its rain or burst pipes. bugger it.

trhanks for the good vibes though exciting new house ahoy!!

It will be a leaking water main, it happened to me.Just call the water board as suggested 0800 714614.

They paid for a company to pump the water out and put a dryer in, paid for electricity used by the dehumidifier and any items that were damaged. Good luck with the move, Brockley is lovely to live in.

    • Thanks penguin  always wondered about that place and that’s way more info than I ever thought I would get  (used to live above a gun nut on friern road - he would tell me nothing)
    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
