Blah Blah
Derogatory? Simply making the distinction between policy based on good research and impact assessment, and policy based poorly thought out ideas - of which this government is a master of. Seen how the Lords have ripped apart the Housing and Planning Bill btw? It's a corker that one. There's a huge difference between having an ideal to create something that unquestionably will improve millions of lives and following ideology that has been proven to fail again and again. Why does Osborne keep setting himself targets he can't meet for example? That's my point. uncleglen
The NHS is a victim of its own success. It has been allowed to be exploited by people who have no entitlement and some of the staff I have worked with in the NHS are less than conscientious- knowing that it is almost impossible to sack them. I would have liked to remain working in it but I could not stomach the ineptitude of some of the people in my department so I went into teaching which is properly 'policed'. malumbu
We have the right to withdraw our labour. I've done it for one day in my career. That was hard fought for and whatever you think of 'our unions' (they are not 'the' union) think back to some of the terrible working conditions 100 years ago that organised workers managed to change. Before that I lobbied my MP who said that all governments, including the union hating Maggie, wanted a negotiated settlement and expected both sides to compromise. How has this goverment gone beyond the stance of Thatcher and imposed solutions. Did the ellectorate give them this mandate? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/103819-doctors-strike/page/3/#findComment-991282 Share on other sites
