SummerSchool Posted May 4, 2016 Share Posted May 4, 2016 Summer School at South London Dance Studios Herne Hill Dates & Times: 8th-12th August 3-5 years: 10am-11.15am ?50 Due to the success of our Disney Workshop the last two years we are pleased to inform you that we will be having another one this year with different songs and dances from popular Disney movies such as Lilo and Stitch, Little Mermaid, Enchanted, Aristocats and Hercules. With this group we start with a warm up for voice and body, then we venture into a fun and fantastic world of story telling, song and dance. As we learn the songs and dances by some of their favourite characters the children will explore music and dance from the perspective of the performer. Friday 12th August is 'SHOW DAY' where we invite parents, guardians, friends and family to come and see the fruits of the children's hard work.Musical Theatre Workshop Dates: 8th-12th August at South London Dance Studios Herne Hill Times: 11.30-4pm ?150 Age: 5-9 & 9+ This is a musical theatre workshop from 11.30am-4pm. These children will be split into age appropriate groups The younger group will learn songs, dances and acting extracts from musicals such as Barnum, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory & Addams Family. While the older group will be doing extracts from Fame, Legally Blonde and Jungle Book. Both groups will work together on opening and closing numbers from Lion King and Barnum. Friday 12th is Show Day which we invite parents/ guardians, friends and family to come and watch the group perform everything they have learnt. This group will need a lunch break which we normally bring them to Brockwell Park for, weather permitted. To do this we just ask at the start of the week for parents to fill out a consent slip for this.
