dulwichquine
Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts/experience of what the cost should be for asking your full time nanny to do an overnight? Should it literally be on a per hour basis? Or would it be reasonable to pay per hour up until midnight and then on a per hour basis after the kids wake up? Or should it simply be an agreed flat rate? We might have to do this on an occasional basis and think it's a bit of a minefield! Thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/10518-how-much-should-you-pay-for-overnight-nanny-cover/ Share on other sites
kateland
Why dont you try ringing simply childcare for advice- they are always so very helpful. Also I have lots of nanny friends so will ask and get back to you! womanofdulwich
I think it should be a flat sum and I would ask your nanny what she thinks. If your children sleep through the night and really she is doing a normal babysit and staying on then I think the extra hours of say 12pm to 9am would not be so much more. But if your nanny is leaving her own family /partner behind then may be she would like more. If her partner is staying and you are getting them a takeaway even better.
