Hi everyone,

I just had this forwarded to me from Sitaram yoga, who received it from a TV production company looking for two pregnant ladies, one in her 40s and one in her teens, to take part in a new documentary they are making about motherhood. thought I would put it out there in case anyone was interested:

Dear Mum-To-Be

I am writing from an award-winning television production company, betty.

We are currently making a documentary about motherhood for Channel Four?s prestigious Cutting Edge strand, which I wanted to let you know about.

The film will look at motherhood through the eyes of two women of very different ages (a teenager and a woman in her forties) who are about to become mothers for the first time. The programme will follow them through the latter stages of pregnancy, through their births and as they get used to being mums.

We?d like the documentary to offer an insight into the experience of motherhood through the eyes of the two women at different stages of life, in a sensitive, non-judgmental way.

We?d love to speak to women in their teens and their forties who are due to give birth to their first child between now and June.

For your information, betty is a leading television production company, specialising in high quality factual programmes. Our recent credits include; the award-winning series Find Me a Family for Channel 4 (about adoption), Repossessed for BBC1 (about families facing repossession), Country House Rescue for Channel 4 (about country estates facing hard times) and the Emmy-award winning drama, Forgiven. You can find out more about us at www.betty.co.uk.

To find out more - without any commitment to taking part - please give me a call on 020 7290 0536, or email me on [email protected]

I look forward to hearing from you.

Many thanks and best wishes

    • I would leave London, or at a push move back to north London. In SE London if you want to get away in a car you are trapped, always an hour to go the first 10 miles, chugging up to the M4 or round the south circular, which is really just a line someone drew connecting a load of roads. and I know there are trains but first you have to get to those mainline stations, unless you only want to leave London to go to Kent. which I don't.
    • It was you who  made it personal in the first place,  Jazzer. You said you didn't feel safe in the streets,  and you said you didn't go to Central London because you didn't feel safe there. So are you now saying that wasn't "personal"? "Fire from the hip." Another interesting choice of words 🙄 I'm not "demanding" anything! I asked you some perfectly reasonable questions in  response to your own statements. None of which you have answered. Never mind. It seems to be pointless having a discussion with you. It's long past my bedtime. I'm going to turn on my sleep app  and go to sleep 😴💤
    • Hi Forumites, This afternoon someone in a dark blue/black saloon car collided with my parked car on Thompson Road, SE22 9JR. I have a neighbour’s doorbell cam footage of the collision at 14:30 19/09/2025 but am unable to identify the registration plate. If anyone has footage of a car travelling down Thompson Road towards Crystal Palace Road at that time please PM me. Of course if the Perp would like to confess they can also PM me. Thankyou.
