Location: Shirley, Croydon, CR0 7QP.

Completely newly renovated bungalow to very high standard as our own house. We were going to move in there, but because my son now studies in a local school in Dulwich, we have to change the plan at the last minute and will stay in Dulwich.

It has 3 bedrooms with newly fitted wardrobes, 1 reception with fireplace, 1 new kitchen, 1 new bathroom, 1 new WC cloakroom, 1 new large winter garden/utility room with fitted cabinets and worktop. new Carpet, new wooden floor, with underfloor heating.

1 front garden, 1 rear garden with fish pond, 1 garage, 1 private driveway and 1 private parking bay.

1 outside building used as an proper office (or play room) with heating, windows, bookshelf.

100% New Kitchen with luxury SMEG 6 hob gas cooker, Bosche fridge freezer, Bosche dishwasher, washing machine, dryer.

Rent: 1500pcm excluding bills (or ?1700pcm including gas water electricity and council tax)

Term: Flexible, but prefer 3-4 months. We could also consider to short let during summer only for someone visiting London.

Available now.

As this is our very much loved house, we are only looking for someone or a family who will be responsible and will look after it.

    • Thanks very much for that.   I think the better informed we are, the better our discussions will be. The article contained: "That arrest had quite an impact on the [phone theft] numbers for the following month,” said Green.  Here's another indicator, admittedly a piece of police PR,  of how well-targeted police efforts, mostly invisible to us,  can when successful  seriously affect offending figures: https://news.met.police.uk/news/met-police-drive-down-theft-and-robbery-by-84-percent-in-battersea-and-nine-elms-500495.
    • Another excellent article from Jim Waterson's London Centric reporting https://www.londoncentric.media/p/kitchen-foil-and-algerian-markets?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email Interesting that there seem to be favoured and repeated routes for phone snatching for particular thieves.  Seems ED might be one of them ☹️
    • Anywhere near the Overground/Windrush due to its excellent transport links.  You will get larger place in SE23 for example that will give you enough spare cash for private school if that's what you really want but states schools generally good, reflecting the demographic  Easy to get to the bustling streets of East Dulwich but in ten years see what happens to Forest Hill centre.  The whole of the area is full of green spaces. Access to East Croydon for days out in the South Coast
    • Could East Dulwich or Forest Hill work? Some properties on Underhill Road and Wood Vale have large gardens e.g.  https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/161079866#/?channel=RES_BUY  You'd be close to the Horniman, Dulwich Park and Peckham Rye. Transport might not be what you're looking for though e.g. a 15 minute walk to Forest Hill station for the East London line or mainline into London Bridge.
