Loz's example of Jockeys purging is an extreme example, but presumably a similar principle? Sue Posted May 18, 2016 Share Posted May 18, 2016 Particularly if you are very overweight, you can lose a lot at the start of a diet due to water loss, particularly if you cut carbohydrates.Good in a way because it can motivate you to stay on the diet, but that level of loss won't continue, and would soon go back on if you went back to your former eating pattern.
