Speech therapist?

Hi

Can any one recommend a children's speech therapist that I can contact directly (i.e not through the GP/health visitor route which seems to take forever).

I dont have an actual recommendation but when I've asked the NHS therapist about private help they always say that anyone from this list http://www.rcslt.org/speech_and_language_therapy/how_to_find_an_slt/howtofind is fine. Keep trying with the NHS though as the therapists at the Townley Road clinic are very good and so convienient if you can ever get an appt - beleive me, I know how frustrating it is.

I know you want to go private (very expensive route if needed long term) but we had great success with the therapists at Sunshine House.

Try Tina who runs Babble and Squeak (you will find the contact details if you search on here). She is a speech and language therapist and she is really nice and approachable, so even if she can't help she will know where to point you.
