With all usual activities on 'easter holidays' still we're bored and baby snowboarder needs to burn off energy pre lunch. I was thinking of trying out the Crystal Palace one oclock club as it seems to be open in the mornings tomorrow - anyone been? Is it good for a just one yr old? Friendly if we go on own? Anyone else fancy it?

is there any list or does anyone know what children centres and one o clock clubs are on and when this week? There was a sign on the big tree in the rye playground about events taking place this week at a couple of them which made me think maybe the usual times weren't applicable.....? I've been once to the CP one o clock club and it was really nice. Makes me think why on earth haven't I been back! There is good parking there, good outdoor space and a nice baby area as well. Costs ?1.50 I think?
Yep it is ?3.60 for over ones. We did go - nice garden but tbh quite expensive seeing as we're only JUST over one and only JUST walking - and couldn't really make the most of the trikes/slides etc. AND due to morning nap were only really there an hour! Lots of 2+ running amok.

Telegraph Hill one o'clock is usually good. Open 9.30 to 3.30 I think and it's free. Got the swings and BIG slide next to it too. And a nice van doing decent coffee - tho the club itself does cheap ones and toast too.

Usually go early morning so not sure if it gets busy later on. There are sometimes council run activity things in the area next to the club during the holidays.

    • I’ve been looking at their website from time to time over the last few years and I was sure that at least one loaf - the signature sourdough - is supplied by the BreadBread bakery who are at a lot of markets at weekends and who used to have a small cafe bakery shop in Brixton Market. I used to go there specifically to get their bread.   They are also affiliated with Franco Manca.  That was the first FM, co-founded by Bridget Hugo, who died last year. BreadBread also supplied the bread for the now closed Crooked Well pub restaurant (but now open under a different name - The Kerfield Arms)  in Grove Lane SE5.  Not sure where the pastries come from but it doesn’t seem possible to choose which ones to have delivered.  I do think they chop and change the suppliers from time to time.  I like the look of the (expensive) crullers they sometimes have plus granola, the savoury pastries and expensive bagels.  They frequently have special offers for a first delivery.  40% is the highest discount I’ve seen so far. I too would be worried about a fox being an opportunist.
    • Yes, they sound excellent.
    • Maybe the signor in question spotted some hot jacuzzi action and just had to stop in?
