IlonaM
I have just moved to a new flat with a wet room. Does anyone have any advice please about maintaining a wet room i.e. keeping floor drainage unblocked, unblocking floor drain, cleaning wet rooms, how to avoid getting water all over the place? I have got some information from google searches, but would be very grateful for any tips. Many thanks. Lesley1980
Our drain became blocked with hair and the plumber advised me to put a stocking (Or similar) under the large cover. It's a nuisance as we have to mop up after every use. IlonaM
Hi Lesley, thanks for your advice. Can you use normal drain unblockers down the drain in a wet room, or does that add to the problem? red devil
The idea of a wet room is that it does get wet all over the place, not much you can do about that unless you zone of the shower with a partial glass screen a la walk-in shower... Lesley1980
I'm not sure about the drain unblocker I do put bleach down mine now and again. Mines been out of action over a week now! My pumps broken and the shower technician has left me today saying the pumps out of their jurisdiction and I need to get an electrician! More trouble than its worth! I wish you the best of luck with yours. IlonaM
Thanks Lesley! I think the decorators left so much plaster dust in the bathroom that the drain has become blocked - I have a puddle which won't drain away. I have had one shower since I moved in and am trying to get someone out to look at it.
