Hi Citizen ED, let's keep watching the weather, hanging out in the park always good for me, though would be heading home around midday so hopefully the youngest naps in her cot and I can get some stuff done.

Fuschia, you are a braver woman than me, though if it is a tea group for '2nd time around Mum's' which I believe NCT do then maybe it will not be so bad........hope DS1 suddenly transforms overnight into Little Master Perfect for you! Strange how they have these phases of being VERY NAUGHTY....I turned into Monster Mummy this morning for 5 minutes which I think may have bought me 24 hours of good behaviour (phew)!

Yes, it's a second time round group.. but he is the oldest of the no 1 children and has been the ringleader of previous bad behaviour (once he encouraged someone else's daughter to join him in trashing a child's bedroom and barricading themselves in by pushing all the furniture against the door... oh the shame!)

Hiya,

well I have to walk our dog so will be hanging out in Peckham Rye from about 10am I think if anyone is around with small people who like throwing balls - she is entirely child friendly. Five year old always mad for hide and seek playmates. I usually end up at the playground at some point, and the cafe with poor dog tied up. Need to be home for midday nap which tends to break the day up a bit.

Anyway if hunting for me in the morning I have a black mountain buggy with a sheepskin liner in it, a 5 year old, 18 month old and a brown shaggy dog (Irish Water Spaniel) called Coco. Mobile is 07977 130318.

Very glad of company!

    • Let's not forget this is the lowest level of local politics. If McCash really thought his defection could trash the Labour Party nationally, and it was loaded with invective and exhibitionism, then that's pretty much the definition of a "hissy fit"! Scooping the Green nomination for DaWN constituency is also going to be a lot harder for a Marxist arriviste than you suggest. There may be a wave of new, younger Polanski-ites that have joined the Green Party of E&W recently, but it's the long-standing, often retired members of the Party that tend to participate in candidate interview panels and bother voting in selections...
    • They've had 26 years or so of trading, and if anyone deserves decent retirement... In my view they're going out at the top. It's clearly being sold, assuming it all goes through as a very more more than just a going concern.
    • I had heard this was on the cards a while ago, sad, the end of an era, but well done Rod and Tim for stewarding a beacon of excellence for so many years.
    • Both your hopes will be fine, I think. Our waitress will stay on. The downstairs is getting refurbished, and the bar area enlarged, presumably by removing that awkward little 'lobby' by the loos.
