My cat,PUSHKIN, has been missing from his home in Landells Road for a week (since last Saturday)

He is a black and gray striped cat - I haven't managed to crack how to post a photo of him yet!)

He is a very nervous and often hisses when approached by strangers.

He was possibly sighted in Pellatt Road yesterday (Friday 3rd June)

If you see him around please telephone me on

07766 902 852 OR 020 8693 1950.

I think the cat seen on Pellatt rd is possibly my cat as he looks just like yours. Mine has collars on. Does yours? I hope Pushkin comes back safe and sound. Maybe he got shut in somewhere during half term... Fingers crossed for you.

My cat, Pushkin, doesn't wear a collar so I don't think I am mistaking your cat for mine.

I am beginning to realise that Pushkin is not a very distinctive looking cat. I have seen two cats

- both without collars - looking exactly like Pushkin in the Pellatt Road area and neither of them was him.

Thank you for taking the trouble to respond to my post. I haven't given up hope yet!

Pushkin has just come home!

As I thought, he had managed to get himself locked in a nearby house whose owners were away for the week.

He has seemingly survived very well, has tucked into some tuna and is now asleep on my bed.

A big thank you to everyone who took the trouble to answer my call.

I hope he understands that he has only got eight lives left now.

    • Yes.  It happens to a neighbour who has a van parked off Sydenham Hill quite a lot. It's because the fuel lines are easier to get to than cars.
    • I like the idea of a lido, provided it's accessible to all. I haven't been for a while now.   Do you have to book Brockwell lido in advance and or have they gone back to just queuing  to enter?  Are you able to stay for as long as you wish or are there time slots.  Do teenagers  have access to these spaces? I can't see them booking in advance and time restrains would  not work for them...particularly if its costly. The last time I went to the lido it seemed to lack the diversity that it once had.
    • If you want to reduce the sound from your flat, you can add acoustic or sound absorbing material under your carpet. There are many options for different budgets (google sound reduction in upstairs flat) In terms of improving your relationship with your downstairs neighbour, a really good first action would be to stop labelling him as mentally ill and start to consider that he may be very stressed and grumpy after prolonged noisy upstairs neighbours who don't take any notice of his complaints. There's always two sides to one story, but this is completely solvable
