What's with the police chases on Friern Road

Last night around 9pm 5 police cars came down from the top of Friern Road chasing someone, same happened a month ago. Anyone else see / hear anything about these?

My other half was running to catch the train the other day and got chased by a police car (!) and then questioned. He got a lift the rest of the way (still missed the train though..)

I heard it all and was wondering the same, they were up and down the road, they kept turning around and changing directions i.e going part way up underhill and back again.

Are you pullig our leg Saila?? that's too funny if you're not.

a month ago I heard a moped screaming fown Friern, closely followed by 5 police cars and a chopper. I guessed he was using the cut through for bikes (and not cars). Perhaps we should get some Neighbour hood watch Stingers?

... it's absolutely true

the police-car lift sort of backfired cos they ended up going round the one way system (bellenden road) which probably took a lot longer than if they had carried on (running) on foot, hence missing the (last) train...

No didn't hear anything. Where abouts on Friern?

corner of underhill, started about midnight right up until 2am or even a bit later then there were helicopters out.

We noticed this morning that it looks as if someone has been through our garden during the night (fence slightly damaged, outdoor lantern knocked over, plants trampled), could be linked as we live very close to Underhill.
