Seeking a family for our nanny for two days a week from late August

Recommended Posts

We are looking for a new family to share our super nanny with two days a week. Our current arrangement is coming to an end as the other family's youngest child is starting pre-school in August.

Fabiana has been our nanny for five and a half years and has experience in looking after children from from 5 months to nine years old. She works for us three days a week and we are seeking another family for her to work for the other two days a week for the next year (till September 2017).

Fabi is originally from Brazil, but holds an Italian passport. She is currently applying for British Citizenship. She has lived in the UK for well over a decade now.

She is utterly dependable and has developed a very special relationship with my children (now three and five). She is hard working, responsible, fun and loving. She is famously energetic and always off to the park, the museums, the paddling pool etc. She also manages to complete the daily household laundry, cooking and chores effortlessly.

She has excellent references and is known by a wide circle of our friends, whom she babysits for regularly. She has first aid training and nanny insurance.

Her preference is working with babies and pre-school children. She has special-needs experience too, most recently having looked after a partially sighted little girl.

She needs to work full days (ideally 8am till 7pm). She could work two days chosen from Wednesday / Thursday / Friday)

She is available from August for settling in days and available to start w/c 29th August (Bank Holiday week).

Please PM me if you are interested.

Claire

Hello Claire - I think I may already have contacted you (sorry!) but we are looking for help on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays after school....would that be any good for you at all? Very happy to share with you on the Tuesday, or drop our daughter round at yours etc depending on where you live.

Let me know? Thanks! Eleanor

    • Certainly the infamous (and mythical) SE London cat killer turned out to be foxes attacking dying and dead cats injured by cars, but fox: cat encounters do appear to happen, even where cats are victorious. Fox: adult humans less so. At least where foxes are the aggressors.
    • That was very kind of you to take the cat to the vet. Did the car not stop?
    • This is a bit outside our area, but I'm posting in case .... Last night (Sat.20 Dec), around 10.30, we saw a cat hit by a car in St Norbert Road, SE4.  We took him to the out of hours vet in Beckenham, where they confirmed that he had died.  They will see if he is microchipped, and contact the owner if so.  They were very kind.   He was a lovely cat, grey and white.  He must have died very quickly.  So sorry to be the bearer of bad news 😞 The vet is Medivet in Beckenham, tel: 0208 650 2003.
    • Watching my cats over the years with foxes, I've found that foxes have totally ignored them. One exception was when a young fox hadn't seen my cat and found himself eye to eye with my cat at a distance of 1 metre. There was a stand off but the fox blinked first and my cat chased him out of the garden. So proud of her. I believe when foxes have attacked cats, the cat has been vulnerable  - old, young, ill wounded.
