Hello,

So this event isn't based in ED, but we are!

Foyles bookshop have asked us (WordPlay) [www.wordplayeducation.co.uk] to create a podcast series based on this year's summer Lit festival for children & young adults - The Story Box Festival.

We are looking for children aged 8-16 to help us out to host the podcast - there will be several fantastic events throughout the summer reading festival and we would like our young hosts, presenters and reporters to interview authors, have discussions based on the events, help write the script for the podcast and present the festival news!

If you would like your child to take part, please do email us on [email protected] or send me a PM on here.

We're really excited about this project.

Finally, we are also running two radio drama challenges at Foyles, Charing Cross branch in case you have budding radio star kids who would love to write and perform their very own live radio play:

We're looking forward to hearing from you!

Thanks to everyone who contacted us - we can't wait to work with your kids on this fabulous audio project!

We have just one slot left to fill (for two children), if anyone else would like their children to co-host the Story Box Podcast-Kids Takeover, do just let us know!

    • Love Dulwich is great but has a large step in front. We have only been weekdays at Lunch time. Maria's next to Picture House is disabled friendly. Also can reserve table in advance. We did a Sunday lunch catch up with family - there were 8 of us.
    • Hi, Thinking about  going with some friends and was just wondering if folk might like to report back please. Most importantly sound level when busy & is it disabled friendly.  Thinking on a Sunday lunchtime but don’t want a busy busy environment or loud chatter - a couple of friends could not cope. Time can be flexible, if that helps - say 2 ish to avoid above.. Thanks…
    • Nice that the drinks have started up again. I used to arrange them when they first started and I met some good friends through them. We used to get 30+ people going at one point. The karaoke night at The Wishing Well was very memorable!
    • Yes, absolutely! in comparison to now, you are 100% correct!
