Buy a refurbished bike or donate an old one - for a great cause

Just a reminder that old bikes are very welcome at The Bike Project (particularly adult bikes, but also kids' bikes)

If you've got one lying around that is no longer being used, we can refurbish it and give it to a refugee or asylum seeker. Some of the best quality bikes we sell at our online shop to help fund the project - one good bike sold, can help us give bikes to 3 refugees. Our workshop and drop off point is on Crossthwaite Avenue SE5, just off Red Post Hill.

Ah sorry to hear that Sue, but thanks for thinking of us.

We had a very busy May, and so the stock on the site can vary. We've got about 10 more bikes being added early next week, and we are working hard to ensure that we have a good range of bikes in the shop all the time. I know it's too late for you, but just to let anyone else know that might be reading!

Great - thanks for thinking of us.

There's not usually anyone around at the weekend. Usually there's someone there between 10-4 weekdays, or until 8pm Thursdays. But we are a small team, so we really recommend calling us just before you come to check (020 7733 8098)

Thanks again in advance.

    • Here to add my voice to those praising Temi. She just painted my dilapidated home office in ED and did a fantastic job in just two days in a much lighter colour, including woodwork, damp blocker and filling holes. She's efficient, on time and I barely heard a peep out of her; she just got on with the job. I recommend her wholeheartedly.
    • The residents & families of the estate are getting parking fines,  out of the blue , the residents parking system waa changed from Southern to Sippi with cameras put up in the car park and people issued with fines entering the estate for more then 10 minutes , families can no longer pick up or drop off family due to a new 10 minute wait fine. Residents are appealing with Sippi and Southern as there was no letters to consult of a parking change,  new waiting times or fines, delivery drivers are getting fines everyday,  if you get a fine,  appeal it, there is no signage up to say about parking fines or waiting time
    • Threads that devolve like this should be moved to the Lounge, so the 'comedy' can continue in an appropriate vacuum.
    • How very dare you. Rest assured, if it were intended to be comedy, it would have been funny.
