Not sure what you mean? The Kids Club camp looks like fairly good value for money.

Were you simply observing that childcare options in general are expensive?

The science camps run by Richer Education are expensive because they are specialty camps which take place in the actual teaching facilities at Imperial College. They are taught by passionate science educators, using real reagents and scientific equipment. In light of that, the cost is proportional to the value of the experience.

I wish we could afford to do science camp at every break, but it's out of reach for us financially to do it more than once a year. I wish the cost of living and childcare in London were not so high. xx

It;s all relative of course, what is good value for money for some will be expensive to others. It's just a shame that so many science, coding courses are beyond the reach of most normal people - especially if you have more than one. I was looking into some coding courses and found one that was 500 pounds a week.

    • I was amazed to see a young nuthatch crawling headfirst down a the trunk of a tree in my garden to bully the great tits and blue tits off the bird feeders yesterday.  Didn't expect to see one this far from the woods.
    • some titles are "protected" ie you have to have certain qualifications and be registered with the supervising council https://www.hcpc-uk.org/about-us/who-we-regulate/the-professions/ Dietician is registered and protected Nutricionist is neither. Anyone can claim to be a nutricionist or chiropracter etc
    • It didn't occur to me to ask. No idea if dieticians are employed within the NHS. It is just one line of enquiry among others. The GP mentioned it, not me.
    • I thought the most they sell in terms of hot food at londis is like pastries and sausage rolls and for hot drinks its like costa coffee but its always a convenience store. Doesn’t look too bad in my opinion considering that shop has been closed down ever since i moved here
