When my son did take breastmilk for a short while at the beginning, he did not like frozen milk either, though he was fine with milk that has been in the fridge, but I noticed that frozen milk has a rather soapy smell whereas milk that has been stored in the fridge smelt fine.

Thanks for the advice ladies, and for the links Fuschia. I haven't notice a soapy smell, but I do suspect that my milk goes off somewhat quickly. I have stored milk both in the fridge and freezer in Lansinoh storage bags, so I don't think the storate method can be what is affecting it. Luckily it's not a necessity at the moment, but I will try scalding to see if it makes a difference and it's a lipase issue.

Thanks again!

I had the lipase issue. I found that as long as the milk had been frozen soon after pumping, my baby would take it as long as I defrosted it just before feeding using hot water. ie if I left it to defrost in the fridge it was rejected. That's because I froze a lot before I worked out I had to scald it!

    • It should be easy enough to point out to anyone even thinking of voting reform that should they take power they will have no impact. And will make things worse.  And if people think politicians break promises now and reform are a breath of fresh air then they ain’t seen nothing yet  but they won’t really care about immigration if reform do win  uk used to be about law and order and now we have dim talking heads everywhere unchallenged going “leave the ECHR, stuff the judges, just do it!!”   like life is that simple sweeties
    • I have been reliably informed that it's not the same group.
    • my bet is it's the same group and no amount of talking to is going to make a difference.
    • Definitely not intended  to come across as "gleeful". Quite the opposite, because developments such as this will only encourage extreme right-wingers such as Reform. And heaven help us if they ever formed a government. It's incumbent on Labour to come up with an effective  policy to "smash the gangs" otherwise we are facing Farage and his gang further down the road.
