Foyles Summer Story Box Festival for children & YA 5th August

Recommended Posts

Not in East Dulwich, but a few ED parents have asked me about Foyles Story Box Festival in Central London - there will be a super fun interactive children's and YA book festival taking place over three weeks across all Foyles shops in London.

Join WordPlay on Friday 5th August at the Charing Cross Road branch for the morning OR afternoon to script, perform & broadcast your very own live radio play at Foyles as part of festival!

Suitable for ages 8+

In groups, you will be challenged to write your play against the clock, then it's into the studio where you will perform it live and even create your own special sound effects.

There will be a morning workshop between 11am-1pm and an afternoon session from 2pm-4pm.

Each workshop will conclude with a live broadcast of all the plays for parents and friends to tune in to. All recordings will appear on WordPlay's 'Hear the Plays' feature on the website after the event: http://www.wordplayeducation.co.uk/

Tickets cost ?12 and you can buy yours from the Foyles website for either session:

It's going to be great!

    • Not helpful and comes over as reactionary to use the term idiot. He is a misogynist, possibly a racist, bully and a narcissist.  He is not an idiot, and knows what he is doing, worse still backed by Vance who well may be the brains of the operation. To get anywhere you need to understand the man and why he has popular support. Not that I can stand him and the world would be better off without him. Starmer is doing an OK job of positioning himself.

    • Trinco is at 20 Lordship Lane, near Goose Green. The building is called Oru Space although I did notice the other day that there is a small neon sign that says Trinco outside though easy to miss. Good for Sri Lankan vegetarian curries, not good if you are after chicken tikka masala-style food that all the other curry restaurants in Lordship Lane serve (edit - sorry Moovart, I've just seen you've also answered this!).
