Want to leave Virgin Media but which other fibre broadband providers would you recommend?

With months of temperamental service from Virgin Media (on-demand/catch-up not available, our box packing up and losing all of our recorded TV etc etc) we are definitely ready to pay someone else instead of continuing to give Virgin the handsome sum of ?70 a month!

Don't want to lose the great internet connection though.

Anyone else have recommendations for a good Internet provider in the area (we are off Barry Road)? Seeing as we can watch catch-up TV online, don't need fancy TV package really.

Thanks!

Why not keep your Virgin broadband and switch to either FreeSat or FreeView? As you say, with a suitable box you can stream those (plus Amazon or Netflix if you want). And that will put about 30 quid in your pocket every month.

If you pick up a nice Humax PVR you'll get all that and recording capability as well.

Virgin media have now said the utilisation fix will not be completed until the end of August in SE24 area I am in. I've had a terrible service and poor customer service since at least last November. Would like also to know of a reliable broadband fix available!

    • I've looked up previous media coverage and gather that the school warned pupils of the risk of police 'fines' for assembly under the extant Covid regulations.  Don't you think they might have felt it a duty, to both pupils and parents, to do so?

All the ones round here seem to have been cancelled, like the Christmas Cracker and the summer equivalent and the Small Business Saturday event etc.  Even on the Southwark Presents page the only events in East Dulwich in the foreseeable future are non-council events organised by other people. https://www.southwark.gov.uk/southwark-presents?event_price=All&localgov_event_locality[0]=239&date_min=&date_max=&search=&page=2
