Childminder Available

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I am an enthusiastic, reliable and friendly twenty year old with a lot of experience in babysitting children of various ages, generally ranging from babies of six months up to the ages of eleven and twelve. Last year, I was a volunteer at Horniman Museum and I spent a lot of time assisting children with the fun activities the Museum had to offer, and helped to educate them in history and cultural diversity, which I found very enjoyable.

My mother is a teaching assistant at Kilmorie School and, due to her profession, I have gained essential knowledge and skill when it comes to taking care of infants, as well as my previous experience in childminding. I also have a very lively eight year old nephew who I love to look after as well as my younger cousins. I have a positive energy, I am kind and patient and I enjoy the time I spend looking after children.

I am very flexible with the hours I can do and I am available every day of the week - including weekends. I live in Forest Hill and I do not have a car but I am more than willing to travel within the Lewisham and Southwark Boroughs. Please let me know if you are interested by sending me a PM on here, emailing me at [email protected] or calling 07946757634.

Thank you

    • So have you never been in a house where the gas hob was turned on but not ignited?  You get a smell of gas,  You do not get an explosion when you light the flame.   You have to have a very high concentration of methane (over 4.4%)  for this to happen, the smell of the gas would be obvious half way down the street.  They add mercaptans to natural gas to give it that smell at very low concentrations.   Gas explosions happen once in a blue moon, in places like residential homes in the basements where, if unchecked, a leak can get up to explosive concentrations.   Back to my original comment about Bunsen burners.  You'd got 30 kids in a classroom but no explosions.   The establishment of Corgi (now Gas Safe) and the compulsory annual testing of boilers and cookers was mainly due to the relatively high number of deaths from carbon monoxide poisoning from faulty appliances and blocked flues in rented properties. I don't expect the OP to test it themselves, I would, but that his my decision.  But you may get Natural Grid to do this free of charge if you ask nicely. I thought the video was hilarious.  The guy shouts don't do this yourself, call in help.

    • Or maybe let @malumbu come round and test it for you, thus potentially getting two birds with one stone 🤣
