Hiya

I am wandering if anyone can recommend any outdoor play/ climbing equipment for a small garden - approx 30 foot.

It is for my 2 sons who are 3 and nearly 6. I am looking at slides but think it would also be nice to have some kind of climbing thing. Anything to stop them swinging off the washing line and climbing the fence! Plus get them out of the house and not fighting!

Thanks, Liz x

Hi, we were very, very lucky in getting a climbing frame/swings/slide thing from Freecycle a few years ago which our three

really like. However, if you can only get one thing, get a trampoline. They use up so much energy on that thing and it is a delight to hear the squeals of laughter from our lot on theirs competing with the neighbour's kids on theirs. We got ours from Argos for about ?100. Alec

Depending on whether they (you!) like mucky play, but the best thing my parents ever did was create a mud puddle with a hose pipe one day at the end of the garden and we spent a whole summer digging and playing around in the mud. We eventually decided to plant veg & flowers in the patch and also spent many happy hours digging, planting, watering and watching things grow... plus digging up worms and stalking snails. Best memory of playing in the garden! We totally ignored the swing and slide after the first week...

    • I’d also recommend Paul for electrical work. He came round the other week to help us out with a handful of jobs (installing an SPD, new light fittings, installing a dimmer switch, a bathroom fan). His quote was cheaper than what I got from others, he turned up on time and he got the job done quickly.
    • We’d like to add our recommendation for Lukasz and team at L&L Building & Maintenance.  Lukasz has recently installed a roof terrace for us, and we’ve found him a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We contacted about a dozen recommended builders and found his quote very competitive. During the build his team delivered quality work, they were no hassle in the house at all and they kept the place tidy every day. The terrace looks great, and we’re very happy customers. What stood out in particular was Lukasz’s responsiveness, right from discussing quotes to follow-up during the build. Lukasz often checked in and was always available when we needed him.  We’ll definitely contact Lukasz again for future building work and we’d happily recommend him to others looking for a reliable builder.   Lukasz Kugaczewski L&L Building & Maintenance 07926651960 [email protected] www.landl-build.com
    • Yes, I did mention the train, which I now get from East Dulwich to Guys instead of the 40. Depends where in East Dulwich you are starting from which route is easiest! I think it is probably lack of staff rather than lack of hospitals which is the problem?
    • What can be done? How about reporting it to the police?
