Hi everyone

The UK Feldenkrais Guild are running an awareness week from today and there are free movement lessons available to listen to or download online at www.feldenkrais.co.uk/awareness. A short 'Awareness Through Movement' lesson (approx 20mins) is being put on the website each day with the theme of improving posture, there's a great article about this too. These lessons are a fantastic way to come back to your body, from a Feldenkrais perspective posture isn't about correcting yourself but finding a relaxed stance where your breathing is easy and from which you are ready to move and act freely.

For those of you unfamiliar with Feldenkrais, its a method which helps people develop self-awareness and improve their movement in order to reduce pain, overcome limitations or improve functions- from those of daily life to sports and dance. It works by helping people pay attention to gentle movement explorations in order to find more efficient and comfortable ways of doing things, reducing unhelpful muscular tension.

If you're interested to know more, please contact me on 07716 099181 or e-mail [email protected] I practise Feldenkrais from the Family Natural Health Centre (above Soup Dragon) on Lordship Lane with adults and children.

Best wishes and enjoy the sunshine this weekend!

Hannah

    • Well I did say I stand to be corrected! Fair enough, their website only seemed to list three branches. Perhaps it's a franchise model?  It's known as 'agglomeration' in economics Rookie error.
    • I didn't know there was a word for that — thanks!
    • This is just normal business behaviour. That's why there are so many coffee shops in ED and shops selling gifts and interiors stuff, clothes, restaurants.  If there's more than one business of a similar type then it can benefit all of them up to a saturation point and keep up quality. It's all sounding like many think Chango has made a malicious move when it actually sounds like it's owned by one guy who has a good business that has done well.   Anyway this is all great advertising for both empanada places. Very close by is the organic grocer who sells really good value and very tasty samosas and other Indian snacks which are also worth trying.
    • Hello, Does this lovely little panther have a name? & Is he neutered & microchipped?
