Welcome on board

London Overground East London extension is now up and running.....

I am quite frankly beside myself with excitement at the possibilities, the exploration & the progress to come

As you can see there are four brand new stations along the line, each one it self a massive leap in transport provision but what adventures lie ahead outside of them ?

Here are a couple of links to get started with however, what will be even better is personal experiences & discoveries along the line from "us" the L.O.E.L Travel Club pioneers

Trains every 15 minutes on New Cross, West Croydon and Crystal Palace branches. This means between Surrey Quays and Sydenham there will be trains every 7-8 minutes.

And Lastly....

Of Phileas Fogg....

Had he travelled? It was likely, for no one seemed to know the world more familiarly; there was no spot so secluded that he did not appear to have an intimate acquaintance with it. Often pointing out the true probabilities, and seeming as if gifted with a sort of second sight, so often did events justify his predictions. He must have travelled everywhere, at least in the spirit.

"Here , here"

    • Went to a fireworks display maybe 20 years ago at the Crystal Palace, it wasn't bonfire night, can't remember why it was being held, Capital Radio were there. There were people hanging from a crane, classical music, and quiet fireworks,  It was lovely, still dramatic with the colours but no loud bangs. Not sure why this hasn't become the norm.
    • Hi  After a surprising split I find myself trying to furnish a home. If you gave anything that you don't want that may help I'd be so so so grateful if you could let me know please.  Thank you so much
    • Hallo As far as I know  info you have quoted is wrong.  You can phone for an appointment although I have always found it easier to do online. Go to their website for info on how to book appointments Any requests I have made have been reviewed and answered by a GP within 4 hours
    • Nadia did a great job tidying up my very very overgrown yard. (See the before and after photos). I live in New Zealand and my tenants said a neighbour has been complaining about the out of control ivy. Nadia was easy to contact so over WhatsApp, managed to liaise between me and my tenants. Her quote was reasonable for the amount of work that needed doing, and the end result is great! She sent photos throughout so I could track progress. Would highly recommend her to others.
