tsm83
Processing times for these applications are up to 6 months, though typically 5 months. They won't automatically send your passport back and you need to request it using this form: https://eforms.homeoffice.gov.uk/outreach/Return_of_Documents.ofmlThey will take around 4 weeks to send your documents backYou can apply for British citizenship 12 months after your Permanent Residence Card is issued Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/114827-eea-application-form/#findComment-1024529 Share on other sites

Lazero
The 1 year is actually between the date you established PR (I know this isn't the correct wording) and the date of application for citizenship. So if I submit evidence for PR based on Jan 2011-2016, and I get my card back by Jan 2017, I'd be able to apply for citizenship straight away. They record the date separately on the system. The question comes up periodically in this thread and the answer given is consistent. So choose your 5-year evidence period accordingly, if you want to apply more quickly. Very frustrating. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/114827-eea-application-form/#findComment-1025351 Share on other sites
