gosh, why is it soooo hard to choose these things? there are so many different ones and as they cost on average ?30 i don't want to get one i don't like/find useful!

does anyone have one they can recommend? should i look out for anything in particular? want one to put on the side of our bed for when baby (6 months old) sleeps in with me for his daytime naps - he won't sleep by himself during the day.

alternatively does anyone have one they want to sell on? many thanks xxx

thanks fuschia! i was actually looking at this on ebay earlier - does it really stay in place??? if a baby rolls over onto it, can't the baby push it over the edge of the bed? i know they wouldn't sell it if it didn't work, but i am finding it hard to understand how it works? love the fact that it can easily be taken on holiday, to gran's etc
You tuck it under the bottom sheet. It works very well. There is a stage where a crawling baby will tend to try to leap over any bedguard, mind you (for eg leaning over a traditional bedguard and divebombing!) but to prevent tolling this is great and doesn't make it impossible for you to get into bed, sit on the bed or change the bed.

    • It was indeed in the vicinity of DKH. I live on the ED estate and I could tell it must be close by because of the noise. When I left my house this morning I found the culprits litter still in the middle of the st. It looked like they had lit a whole box on fire in the middle of the road. My cat jumped out of her skin. I’ll try and report it on Southwark website same as I have had to with other illegal use this week. Any other ideas for what we can do with the photos? Maybe one of the Southwark councillors. It’s outrageous and dangerous behaviour.
    • Had another great meal there…. those that haven’t tried it, give it a go.. have a special lunch menu as well so you can get a flavour of the food.
    • If you "cotton on" and read the council announcement, it clearly states "The library will be closed from 17 November until late June or early July 2026."  https://www.southwark.gov.uk/2025/dulwich-library-closing-refurbishment
    • I’ve been seeing Lisa at goose green clinic for energy work for a year now.  Lisa is kind, caring and hugely supportive. She is wonderfully masterful and trained as a reiki master for 20 plus years. Alongside other energy work.  My time spent with her is like therapy. An emotional safe space for deep conversations and reflection followed by relaxing and energising healing work.  each experience I’ve had has been different, the end result remains the same. Feel lighter, almost euphoric and almost float home. Definitely an experience not to be missed.  https://www.goosegreenclinic.net/therapies/healing-energy-work/
