Summer Camp, 1st-5th August *2 days free for 3 children!!

Recommended Posts

Summer Camp 2016 is here!!

This is going to be our 3rd holiday camp and we are very excited and pleased to say that as an appreciation of what we are doing we have received a donation with specific instructions that it must be used to help pay for two days out of three childrens' cost for this week at Camp.

Ts&Cs

The above-mentioned payments are to cover one 'regular' day (no charge activity day) and one 'special day' (paid activity, in particular the trip to Gravity Trampoline Park), plus the regular daily charge so in total - a ?36 discount!!

To have a chance for your child to be 1 of the 3 to receive the above you must commit for your child to attend for the full 5 days, it is not possible to just sign up for two days only.

To be in with a chance you must also complete and return a personal information and consent form which is obtainable by emailing: [email protected].

Please note the benefactor's and UTurn's decision regarding this offer is final and we will require those who receive the discount to be included in some promotional photographs or a short video which will go on our Facebook page.

THERE ARE LIMITED SPACES so hurry and send your email in, it's going to be a great week of varied activities and even if your child is not lucky enough to be one of the three, they will still have fun.

Check out our website http://www.uturn.org.uk and click on the FaceBook link to see some of what we have done on previous camps.

We look forward to the opportunity of freeing up your days for the first week of August, let your kids look forward to a great week of fun too!

PLEASE REMEMBER TO:

Register your interest by Friday 30th July LATEST so that we can plan to have sufficient staff available. If you leave it until the morning of Monday 1st Augustr it may result in a 'last minute rush' which could possibly result in disappointment as we must provide the regulatory ratio of staff to children at all times.

Here is the final schedule of events for next week - if you want to send your children and have not already confirmed, please do so by Friday NOON!

The offer for 3 children for 2 days free has now been filled, don't let your children miss out on a fun week.

Email [email protected] to receive the personal information and consent form, or call 07961 917-166.

Also go and check out our Facebook page UTurn Community Project or our website wwww.uturn.org.uk

See you on Monday!

    • Portable ramps are available for businesses to use in this sort of situation, aren't they? I don't know whether one would be suitable for use here, or whether they have the space to store one. Lots of people have  permanent or temporary disabilities which mean they have to use crutches or a wheelchair.
    • I can’t remember where I read that figure but this article in the Grauniad from 2023 discusses Ocado results from 2022. The average shopping cart fell to £118 from £129 the previous year. But Ocado lost £500m that year on approximately 20 million orders (circa 400k orders per week). So, averaging out to £25 lost per order. Ocado pauses building new warehouses as annual losses balloon to £500m | Ocado | The Guardian  Obviously, the £500m loss includes various factors. But Ocado has existed for 25 years and only made a small profit in a couple of those years. The rest have been huge losses. Yet it continues to raise funds and speculation sends the share price up and down. In that respect,  it’s like the UK version of Tesla. Meanwhile, the main growth in the supermarket sector has been for Aldi and Lidl, who do not deliver.
