Wanted please: help fixing a printer

Hello

I've got an Hp 4400 series multi function printer. It's a few years old now and still prints well, but has recently starting making a loud juddering noise when it starts printing.

Has anyone come across this before, or know where I can cheaply get it fixed? Seems a shame just to dispose of it as it's a nice machine.

Please PM me, thanks

Matt

It might just benefit form a clean - the rollers are probably dirty (they'll pick up ink and dust over time) and the mechanism is possibly not likely to run along it smoothly. A wipe and some WD40.

Have you googled the model number? they ususlly have a list of things to check as well as how to clean you printer and also do a reboot and clear the memory (new start, so to speak).

Taking it to a shop might just cost you the same as a new printer..... but you could try the electrical place in Herne Hill (opposite Pizza Express and the sports shop

caused by the clutch actuator being out of position
